The Selected Poems of Kenneth Rexroth
Published in Paperback by W.W. Norton & Company (September, 1984)
Average review score:

Rexroth, A great Teacher in San FranciscoI am amazed whe I go into a bookstore in San Francisco and find that they don't carry any of Kenneth Rexroth' many books. For many of us that lived in San Francisco during his life he was the teacher. Very few creative artists have been as generous in praising other artists.
His poetry has it's own flavor. Particularly touching are the series written over many years about his first wife Andree. Go to the library!read him!

Separation of Powers and Good Government
Published in Hardcover by Rowman & Littlefield Publishing ()
Average review score:

Separation of powersand good governance.I can say that after "federalist papers" this is the book ,which gives a reader a clear concept on the issue. If I say it is a review of Madison's articals in FEDERALIST PAPERS,it would be right comment on this book. It includes Montesquieu's thoughts and requires its implication in true sense. This is the best book atleast to tell your friends that you have it on your shellf.

"Slow Down" is a treasure of a guidebook."Slow Down...and get More Done" is a book filed with warmth and humor that spoke to me in terms I could relate to without getting stressed out about all the things I need to do ... in order to not be stressed out. "Slow Down" will gently open you to discover the things that bring you satisfaction and joy--and how to make room for them in your life without turning you into some type of time clock junkie. So Far from Heaven

A rare gem...This book came to me by way of my grandmother. It is one of my most prized possessions. It follows a period in the life of a burned-out executive who finds what he's been looking for -- even though he didn't know he was seeking it. If you can get a hold of a copy, be sure to read this book. It encompasses the passion and staunch traditions of New Mexico -- a state that hasn't quite lost it's edge when it comes to family, hearth and home.

The sword and the scimitar : the saga of the Crusades
Published in Unknown Binding by Gollancz ()
Average review score:

Informative, easy to read, engagingA great selection for anyone interested in an overview of the Crusades or the Middle Ages generally. Bradford does not offer much detail on battle tactics or strategy, but does convey quite vividly the personalities of the key participants, their political, religious, and personal conflicts, and the cultural landscape of the period. Most interesting to me was Bradford's ability to trace important aspects of modern Western culture back to their roots in the Crusades.

Three Lives for Mississippi (Banner Book)
Published in Paperback by Univ Pr of Mississippi (June, 2000)
Average review score:

Buy it!What makes this book interesting is that it was written between the murders and the trial. Huie knew who the murderers were, how they did it, and never expected a guilty verdict.
The book introduces you in detail to Michael (Mickey) Schwerener and all the details leading up to his murder. This detail will help you understand exactly why and how these murders took place.
This latest edition includes updates by the author to compare his early speculation against the results of the trial.
One of my favorite chapters was on energy grades, explaining why alternative energies are less viable than we have been led to believe. As a matter of fact, I've decided to put all my investments in oil and gas stocks. This book may change your life and your investment strategies too.
For those who are familiar with the field, note that this book is in stark contrast to earlier scarcity and growth books, the first written in 1964 by Barnett and Morris, as the author tells us, and the second written in 1979 by V. Kerrry Smith. It gives quite a rebuttal to their theories. It will probably break the field wide open.
In light of current world affairs, it is even more important to be aware of how dependent Americans are on foreign energy. While the book is of the scholarly nature, the author brings concepts and ideas down to a level everyone--students, academics, and arm-chair analysts--will understand.
